Type1.To find the missing term :
Iss type of question me ek series diye jate hai,diye gaye series ke ek term missing rehte hain .Hume bho missing term ko diye gaye pattern ke hisab se find karna padta hain.
Ex.1: What should be the missing term in the following series 3,6,12,24,48,96,? .
Soln: Iss series ke missing term find karne ke liye sabse pehle hume dekhna hai diye gaye series kiss pattern me hai.
Series Pattern: Iss series me previous term ke sath 2 multiple karne se next term milte hain.
3*2=6, 6*2=12, 12*2=24, 24*2=48, 48*2=96,
Therefore missing term = 96*2 =192.
Ex.2: What should come in place of question mark in the series given below
4,12,36,?, 324,972.
Soln: Sereies pattern: Iss series me previous term ke sath 3 multiply karke next term milte hain.
4*3=12, 12*3=36, 36*3 =108, 108*3 =324, 324*3=972.
Therefore, missing term = 108.
Type2. To find the wrong term. :
Iss type of question me bhi ek series diye jate hai lekin diye gaye series me ek term ko wrongly put kiye jate hain aur hume bho wrong number ko find karna hota hai.
Ex.1: Find the wrong number in the given series 7,9,16,25,41,68,107,173.
Soln: Iss series me first and 2nd term add karke 3rd term,2nd and 3rd rem add karke 4th term milte hain and so on.
7+9=16, 9+16 = 25, 16+25 = 41, 25+41 = 66.
Agar 68 ki place me 66 hua to 41+66 = 107 and 66+107 = 173.
Therefore , 68 is wrong and replaceed by 66.
Ex.2: Find the wrong number in the given series 4,5,10,18,34,59,95.
Soln: Iss series me first term ki sath 1^2 add karke 2nd term, 2nd term ke sath 2^2 add karke 3rd term milte hai aur aise he chalta rehte hain. 4+1^2 = 5, 5+2^2 = 9,
Agar 10 ki place me 9 hua to 9+3^2 = 18, 18+4^2 = 34, 34+5^2 = 59, 59+6^2 = 95.
Therefore, wrong number is = 10.
Tyoe3: Iss type of series me two series diye jate hai.First deries jis mpattern me arrange kiye jate hain,hume second series ko first series ki pattern ke basis arrange karna padta hai. Iss series me second series ke unknown term ko find karna hote hai.
For example, Which number will come at the place of A,B,C,D,E.
1st series: 49,100,153,208,165,324.
2nd series: 16,A,B,C,D,E.
Soln: First series Pattern- 39+51=100, 100+53=153, 153+55=208, 208+57=265, 265+59=324.
Second series- First series ki pattern ke basis hume second series ki term ko nikalna hai.
16+51=67, 67+53=120, 120+55=175, 175+57=232, 232+59=291.
Therefore, A=67, B=120, C=175, D=232, E=291.
