- Agar ek pipe X hours me ek cistern ko pura karte hai,to usse pipes se 1 hours me cistern pura hoga 1/X part.
- Agar ek pipe Y hours me ek cistern ko khali karte he, to usse pipes se 1 hours me cistern khali hoga 1/Y part.
- Agar ek pipe X hours me ek cistern ko pura krate hai and dusra or ek pipe Y hours me usse cistern ko khali karte hai.Agar dono pipe ko ek sath opened kiye jaye tube 1 hour me cistern pura hoga (1/X -1/Y ) part and pura cistern pura hone me time lagega [XY /(Y - X )] hours.
- Agar ek pipe ek cistern ko X hours me pura karte hai and dusra or ek pipe usse cistern ko Y hours me pura karte hai. agar dono pipes ek sath opened kiye jate hai, tube 1 hour me cistern pura hoga (1/X+1/Y) part and pura cistern pura hone me time lagega [XY /(X-Y)] hours.
- Agar ek Cistern two pipes se X hour and Y hours me pura hote hai lekin and tisra aur ek pipe usse cistern ko Z hoers me khali karte hai. Agar Three pipes ko ek sath opened kiye jate hai, tube 1 hour me cistern pura hoga (1/X +1/Y - 1/Z) part and pura cistern pura hone me time lagega
